Kardias A.C. is founded by a group of people concerned about improving the quality of medical care of children with congenital heart disease in Mexico.
Kardias establishes an alliance with Texas Children’s Hospital in order to replicate its model.
Kardias starts the project of the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CICU) at the Instituto Nacional de Pediatría (INP) in Mexico City.
Kardias and the INP enter into a collaboration agreement, formalizing the relationship that began between them on 2000.
The Kardias-ABC program at the ABC Medical Center, Santa Fe Campus begins. Kardias, the “Seguro Popular” and the ABC Medical Center start funding surgeries for patients from the INP´s waiting list.
The collaboration and patient referral program between Kardias and Mexico City´s public healthcare system begins.
Meet international standars in the quality of care for children with congenital heart disease in Mexico.
Reduce the waiting list for patients who require surgery.
